Shek O and Good Times

April 14-15 Instead of mopping about Vietnam and Cambodia I immediately went to plan a sleepover with Renee (my Schulich girl) from CUHK . We met up at Choi Hung and made our way to Shek O which is a small village with a great beach. There is Thai Food and bathing suits and bamboo mats (only $5 HKD) everywhere. Renee recognized a place that was selling street food and it was GOOD! The chicken was marinated to perfection... we got so much for only $23HKD. It was so beautiful even though the sun wasn't out but despite the weather it was such a great time to catch up with Renee. It's so difficult to meet up and with our schools because quite far away and just having busy and different lives in HK. Afterwards we went to Mong Kok and ate at Euro GoGo... a western style restaurant... i ate too much which was a bad idea... felt like puking after but we walked it off and made our way to Sha Tin to window shop some more and went to City Super to buy some snacks and stellas... We spent the night talking (which is what we do best), watching chappelle, and laughing... we had so much fun opening a bottle of wine that one of the other housemates in her flat got pissed off. Renee said, "Sorry are we too loud?" and his reply was "Yes, of course!" and he slammed the door. What a butt, the other guy was being louder.

We basically talked until 8am and decided to sleep for a bit and woke up around 11am which is abnormal because Renee is the queen of insomnia during sleepovers... it was quite spontaneous but we decided to head out to ShenZhen because her school is so close to the border... the problem was if she could get a VISA and luckily everything worked out great... we shopped, talked some more, ate our $8 yuan chicken and rice... we went to Sha Tin to window shop, buy some stuff at Mannings (it's like Shoppers Drugmart... they have so many of those in HK) ... we had dinner at a Japanese Restaurant and had dessert at HONEYMOON DESSERT... bean curd with almond tea is an excellent choice... in comparison to Renee's Thai Glutonious Rice ... it looked funny.

Just want to end off saying that I couldn't have asked for more... even if i'm stuck in my dorm or in the library doing work... the past 2 days with Renee has made my Spring Break memoriable and I wouldn't trade that for Vietnam or Cambodia or Both. Thanks for having me over Renee and it was so fun getting lost everywhere!
